So I get up this morning and am watching the news when I see this little tid bit of information: http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpps/news/offbeat/nationwide-thefts-of-tide-laundry-detergent-baffle-police-dpgonc-20120312-fc_18491018. Police are “baffled” by nationwide thefts of Laundry Detergent. I’m assuming these “baffled” police are men. Men who don’t go to the store and pick up laundry detergent. I’m not baffled name brand laundry detergent is outrageously priced. I saw the news and was like “oh my god I need to be on the lookout on my way to work for people selling it out of U-Hauls” cause you know that’s how they do it in the ghetto. I kid you not on my way home from work there is always a guy selling stuff out of a U-Haul at a gas station. During Valentine’s Day he had all these flowers; I have no idea where he gets the stuff. I often wonder if the U-Haul is also stolen or if he considers it a business expense when he does his tax return. Cause yes its tax season and all I think of is business deductions right now. According to this article “Tide is the thing to steal” and it’s liquid gold. The only way we’re getting name brand laundry detergent is if it’s stolen. Or wait….my birthday is tomorrow “hey honey if your reading this I want some Tide for my birthday”…. Gosh I’m romantic.
That’s right we finally did it, we found our house! As many of you know this has been a LONG process. We feel like lottery winners and thought what better way to share our enthusiasm about finally having found our dream house than to blog about it. We felt this would be a great way to not only communicate with our friends and family about the progress we are making with our house, but also a way for us to document the evolution of our home.
